Connecting letters “az” in cursive

Azalea. Lazy. The name Hazel. All of these words require you to write az in cursive.

The letters a-z are also used to find cursive writing resources. For example, to get here you may have searched for cursive letters a-z.

If that’s you, we have a great resources with every single letter of the alphabet in cursive, right here. You’ll see links for each letter, including tutorials for uppercase and lowercase. (And yes, both a and z are there, too 🙂

There are more examples we could mention that both begin with and/or contain the letters “a” and “z” together. If you’re learning to write in cursive, you’ll have to work on this, amongst other common pairs of letters.

These pairings, or connecting letters in cursive, are called “letter joins.”

Obviously, you’ll have to write both letters in the pair, connecting them together. We have tutorials for both the letter a and the letter z. If you haven’t yet, practice each individually before trying to connect them.

Then, try connecting both letters to one another. Below you’ll find a short video showing how to write an uppercase, or big A with a lowercase z , as well as both a and z in lowercase form.
